  • Description

What’s the difference between Spirulina Azteca and Spirulina Manna?

The Spirulina Manna is grown in the California Desert, using quadruple filtered water, man-made ponds that are sheltered from outside contamination, and when harvested are tested extensively for all known contaminants. It has a mild flavor and smell, and mixes smoothly. No other algae and no bacteria grow with it.

The Spirulina Azteca is certified organic from Chile, South America, is also grown in a man-made environment, and is certified contaminant free as well. It has a bit stronger taste and smell than the Manna has, and mixes well, but isn’t always as smooth as the Manna. Both of them are comparable in potency and consistency of nutrient content.

Spirulina was the first supplement that carried the moniker super food. Super food is a nebulous term attached to a breed of Earth based dried or powdered plants that are believed to offer benefits beyond ordinary vitamins. Spirulina has a history of use taking us back to the Aztec peoples and the great warriors of the time. Vitamins are a laboratory mixture of elements that the chemists believe aid our organs. The more vitamins we can get from nature with little or no processing, the more pleased the body seems to react. All plants are made up of protein molecules. This fact concerning protein did not escape the Aztecs as they used Spirulina as for a concentrated source of the nutrient. When the body is properly supported the liver and kidneys which hinge the immune system, function at their best. Today man cherishes organic Spirulina as the fewer chemicals we introduce into our bodies from our supplements the better.
